Last week leading up to Mother’s Day, together with our generous customers, Bendigo Marketplace raised $1,367.30 for Ovarian Cancer Australia, via a gold coin donation gift-wrapping station.
For a small donation, customers could purchase flowers, chocolates, or have their gifts wrapped in beautiful paper and ribbons with 100% of proceeds donated to Ovarian Cancer Australia.
Bendigo Marketplace donated all of the wrapping materials, flowers and chocolates for the day so 100% of proceeds would be donated to the Ovarian Cancer Australia cause. We’d like to thank all of the generous volunteers who donated their time to wrap presents for our customers. We could not have done it without the local help and it shows how the Bendigo community binds together to help a cause.
Ovarian Cancer Australia exists to raise awareness, provide support to and advocate on behalf of those affected by Ovarian Cancer, and fund world-leading research.
Ovarian Cancer kills about 1,000 Australian women every year. It most commonly affects women aged over 50, but can occur in women of all ages.
